Top 10 Theme Parks in the World (4/10)

The fourth theme park in the world according to Coaster Grotto Members is called the Holiday World. It is located at Santa Claus, Indiana, United States.

This is what I read from CoasterGrotto.com.

Holiday World opened as Santa Claus Land in 1946, when it became the nation's first theme park. The park is a family run business and originally contained only a few children's rides and attractions. In 1984, two new additional themed sections were added to the park, and the park was renamed to Holiday World. In 1993, the Splashin' Safari Water Park was added.

Holiday World is now a 100-acre park containing several rides and attractions, with three different holiday themes: Christmas, Halloween, and Independence Day, there are also a couple of small kiddie areas. I really like the idea of the holiday themes, and most of the rides fit in well with the themes. The park is also nicely landscaped.

I have also read that the park has been awarded the friendliest and the cleanest park in the Golden Ticket Awards for several years. It's good that they are friendly because most of their clients will be kids and that kids will definitely need a friendly staff.

Thanks for the write-up! We just topped off the tower of our new ride, Pilgrims Plunge, which opens on May. It's the World's Tallest Water Ride--with a 165-foot tower. It's in our Thanksgiving section, which was added in 2006.
